It all started with a challenge from Amorphology: Create a wear testing rig that can determine the suitability of their bulk metallic glass for use in biomedical applications such as bone screws. Soon, we realized that the wear tester we had built could be used for more than just one type of testing. Our new focus, the materials tester, is modular, fast, and most importantly, affordable. With it, a startup can have instant and unlimited materials tests for the price of a single test from a tribology laboratory.
